Any questions?

The problem that i face during simulated teaching is that i do not know how to increase my own confidence during simulated teaching. I think i may need to practice more before simulated teaching. Through practice, i can gain my confidence and try to manage the time more effective. Besides, i can train myself to teach in a better manner. The only way that i can find is to practice more. i think i need advice from my coursemate too. Their comments and advices are very important for me to improve myself.

  1. Hi,

Yup, as your course mate I realized you are lack of confidence when you teach in simulated teaching session. And I also agree with you that you need more practice and advices from friends and course mates. That is why I drop by trying to give some suggestions to you. Before you seek for confidence from people around you, I think you should first seek for the confidence from yourself. You get what I mean? Try to practice in front a mirror and see if you can convince yourself first with your way of teaching.

You must first able to convince yourself first then you will be able to convince your students. Students can easily identified if you are confidence enough through your body gestures and face expression. So, improve these in front of the mirror should help you to gain your confidence.

You must remember also that the subjects you are teaching now are all your friends and colleagues. Have you teach tuition or real students before? Trust me, they are lot more "horrible" as they can easily break down your confidence in just a few seconds.

Practice will definitely help you, but make sure every practice you able to improve yourself. Times of practice you need is not a factor but your improvement is the most important factor before you really go into the "battlefield".

Sorry if I scare you. Good luck my friends, we are always there to help you.Cheers~

In the coming semester, let us practice simulated teaching together, ok?
I feel that if you practice alone, you will still be nervous because you are not sure whether you are doing it in a proper way. When you practising with a friend, he or she can point out ur strengths and weaknesses, so you can correct your mistake on the spot.
